At 24, I had made my first $1,000,000. At 29, I was back at $0 after putting ALL my money into real estate (what could go wrong…right?) and had to build it all again.
I’ve been through divorce, death, and tremendous loss. I’ve been taken advantage of by people I thought were friends. My kindness has been mistaken for weakness.
I’ve tried and failed innumerable times. I’ve battled more inner critics and saboteurs than I care to count. I’ve faced depression and worse.
Every single venture started with haters and those who didn’t believe it was possible. Many failed.
Of those that succeeded, those same people “just knew it would work” – after the fact. It’s funny how that happens. Selective memory, I suppose.
Through it all, I never lost focus. I never lost my peace. Even at my lowest lows, I dusted myself off and marched on, building the life I knew was possible. I quickly put myself back on course. I have never been afraid to pivot. I’ve been, despite the inevitable dips that have come…happy.
What made the difference in my life? While I didn’t realize it at the time, I was using what we now refer to as The WAVES MethodTM from a very young age. When I found my ship veering off course, it was these tools that corrected my path. It just took 40 years to be able to dedicate the time to reflect and the words to describe what it is and why it works. That’s playing the long game!
I do all of this because I know, with every fiber of my being, that if you implement these tools, you will change for the better.
That’s why I wrote the book and spent countless hours developing everything else that comes along with it.
