Hey Gang Greetings from Switzerland! Today’s post was supposed to be about the 7-day countdown to book launch, all the great reasons you should pick up a copy or three, the works – but instead I have a question (and at the end, if you’re interested, I’ll answer the same question for you). When you wake up in the morning… how do you feel? Do you feel a wave of anxiety, like you are “behind” on something… but not exactly sure what that something is? Or do you feel calm, collected, and completely in control of the day ahead? During the day… how do you feel? Are you on “hero duty” – on alert for any fires that pop-up and require your saving? Or are you clear and focused on the exact actions that will move the needle? When the day is over… how do you feel? Do you feel like you didn’t do enough… even though there was an abundance of activity? Or are you energized, satisfied, and fulfilled – excited to do it all over again tomorrow? How you feel is important. Most average entrepreneurs measure their progress based on items checked off on a to-do list. More seasoned entrepreneurs may measure their progress based on inputs and outputs. However, the elite entrepreneurs trust their internal barometer to gauge progress. That internal barometer is a gift we are given to measure alignment. When you feel energized, grounded, and unstoppable – you are in alignment. When you feel burnt out, frantic, stuck – you are out of alignment. The problem is – you can achieve a lot even when out of alignment… for a while. That “while” can be anywhere from 1-3 years, before you eventually burn out at both ends and want nothing to do with your business. Ask me how I know… I don’t want that for my clients. We’ve created tools and internal technologies to help business owners avoid this fate: The WAVES Method was designed to align you with the highest version of yourself (or your future self). If any of the above resonated with you, this could just be the universe telling you to dig a little deeper, if not, that’s ok too. As for me? Despite spending the last 3 weeks bouncing around Italy, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein… I’ve been on the verge of being overwhelmed. There is a TON to do in the next 7 days, and I owe it to a LOT of people to make sure that next Wednesday, the day after the book releases, I wake up knowing I’ve left it all on the table. I gave it all the power one little soul can muster. That’s all I can ask of myself. What happens after, whether we sell 1 book or 100,000, is relatively irrelevant. What drives me? My WHY… and it’s huge… a post for another day. See you on the journey… Rodric |
