First of all, none of this is secret. It’s rare any book or course or seminar is chock full of new revolutionary information. This blog is no different.
What it is, however, is thousands of hours of real-world trial and error. It’s 30+ years of individual study and coursework.
It’s hundreds of non-fiction books finished and deep conversations with mentors I’ve learned from.
It’s hours of candid heart-on-your-sleeve chats with coaches and weekends at seminars feverishly taking notes.
Maybe most importantly, it’s traveling to the far ends of this earth and experiencing other cultures. 6 continents and 48 countries will teach you life lessons no book ever can. Humility. Patience. Grace. Perspective.
All I’ve done is distill down what worked for me… and may just work for you.
It’s my belief that if you take just one nugget from anything you purchase, a book, a course, a seminar – then it was likely worth the cost. It’s my hope that this blog is nugget-ful (and apparently full of new made-up words as well).
While my work is primarily with entrepreneurs – there is no reason any of these concepts wouldn’t work for anyone who finds themself standing in their own way. Anyone who, a few years into a venture, whether it be life or business, has arrived somewhere they didn’t intend to be. After all, you are your biggest competitor, you are the reason most ideas never leave the space between your two ears. Entrepreneurs in general, have just taken that one extra step forward… and it makes all of the difference.
You’ll hear people say, “yeah I know that,” or “I’ve heard that before”. There is a vast difference between understanding a concept and knowing it. You may understand something but you don’t know it at its deepest level. You might be able to grasp the essence of what’s being said; but unless you’re implementing it every day… you don’t know it.
Sometimes all it takes is hearing it from someone else’s perspective, through their life’s lens. From a different set of lips that have had a different lived experience. Only then…it, whatever it is, clicks.
